Great place for a group vacation! We enjoyed our time by the pool and loved the vibrant garden views. Easy access to nearby restaurants. The area shuttle.
One downside was the weak air conditioning in the room. It didn't cool down enough on hot days.

Loved our great-sized and extremely pleasant rooms in this place.
we had a really nice stay, the hotel was fantastic, fairly clean, with magnificent location to the gili islands. the staff were reasonably good and attentive, offered very good services. location: the venue was very close to the centre of the property, and many activities.

Location was excellent, very peaceful, and relaxing in villas placed amongst wonderful terraced gardens, former rice terraces, yet a few minutes walk from the centre of Ubud and from cafes and shops and the rural countryside,
bed linen could be improved poor quality and somewhat grey in colour, staff very cheerful greeting each other with much laughter and loud chatter which is fine but not at 6.30am in the morning

The serene setting by the rice fields was perfect for morning coffee, and the friendly staff made our late-night check-in easy. A hidden massage salon nearby was a lovely surprise after day's tours.

Clean room, friendly staffs, beautiful rice field scenery, large room & bathroom can accommodate 3 persons, good location for walking around Ubud, great bang for the bucks
Smelly towels, could use more lighting in the room, no television in standard rooms

It offers excellent value for money. We expected a backpacker standard of luxury. What we encountered was definitely upmarket at budget prices. The rooms are comfortable and large, each a separate bungalow surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Hot water is abundant. Rice fields provide an attractive scenic backdrop. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ubud, but a footbridge provides quick easy access to Monkey Forest Road. The traditional Balinese architecture adds to the appeal of Nick's Pension. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Initial room above reception had dirty curtains, excessive noise, and was not pleasant. Breakfast options poorly limited with unnecessary extra charges and the quality of food was lacking. Dirty linen and old pillows noticeably affected comfort, and the shower left much to be desired due to bad maintenance.

Like the quiet, windy and peaceful environment, the green padi field, friendly & helpful people, convenient to move around etc. Maybe consider improving the road in front of Nick's Pension, look into the shower in the bathroom - water pressure for hot water is too high, feedback given but no action, flies in the cafe during breakfast.

The tropical gardens are beautifully maintained.
The shower had inconsistent hot water, a bit frustrating after long days of exploring.

I loved the staff. They seemed a little cool at first, but then the quality of tourists has definitely degenerated since my earliest travels. People are so unfriendly to them, even downright rude, particularly certain nationalities, and as the staff put it, "some smiles are expensive". So well put. You could say good morning to some guests in the restaurant, or by the pool, and they would act as if you just say I hope your father dies today! They are without exception, terrific staff doing their best, and very kind and loving as well.
Well, get me started! Firstly the pillows are shocking...had to get my friend who lives here to loan me one. All the sheets are greyish, looks like they need replacing or boiling, and the bottom sheet doesn't fit properly! Grrr....The towels mostly need replacing, especially the blue ones, or again, boiling. The curtains are completely flimsy, so no sleep if you like the dark. The top level of rooms are okay, but I spoke with other guests who are in the bottom layer, and went into one, and the smell of mould is shocking...they are right by a river course and get no real sun. My first room had a foam mattress...yuk...hardly bearable, though 307 had regular ones. A friend sat on one and said it was like a board. I prefer hard ones.

The location was marvellous and unbeatable, not too far from a Hindu temple complex. Liked the area, it was peaceful and so close to a quiet stream and a path leading up to the town.

The location of the hotel - it is close to the main street of Ubud, but it is surrounded by rice paddies and tropical garden. The exterior of bungalows is pleasant. The breakfast is more or less variable and tasty.
The smell and darkness in the room. The bungalows are situated on hills, thus there are a lot of stairs to go. No tv in the room.

God location
We booked a deluxe room and when we arrived they gave us a standard room. The sheets were dirty and the bathroom stank.
